She’s Yasmin Rudolf. She’s a lecturer. John Berry was her first love. He was dead now, and she was standing with a bucket of flowers at the cemetery. It was getting dark, and the rain was showering. She put the bucket of flowers on John’s tomb and hugged it tightly. She took a long and deep breath. When she started releasing her breath slowly, she heard the sound of nasal breathing behind her. There was standing Jacques Carter, her beloved husband.

Jacques Carter was a criminal lawyer by profession. He came to her, took her on his chest, and hugged her. He massaged her back, consoling her, and told her not to cry. He opened the car door, and she got inside.

Yasmin looked behind. The flowers on the tomb looked beautiful. She prayed for John and closed her eyes.

“Let’s go,” Jacques said and ignited the car engine. “Kids are waiting for us.”

“Can you give me some time?”

“Please think about the kids,” Jacques said, concerned. “At least today?”

She looked at her husband, after John, to whom she had given everything of herself for a few minutes, wiped her tears out of her eyes, and put her seatbelt on.

“Okay, let’s go.”

She looked forward while Jacques kept looking at her without moving his car.

“Let’s go.” She said. “You said you wanted to go, right?”

Yasmin’s behavior is not strange to Jacques anymore. Jacques was a hot-tempered boy when he was young, but he doesn’t get angry with Yasmin. He has deep kindness and compassion towards her. He understands her love for John.

When she opened the car door, her youngest son, Jaden, and her daughter, Bella, came running to her. She took both of them in her hand and went to the room. She closed the door and lay on her bed because she felt disturbed and deeply sad about something.

It was Jaden’s birthday. With Annee's help, Jacques had organized a small birthday celebration for Jaden.

“Please come down to cut the cake.” Jacques had messaged her on WhatsApp.

Happy birthday to you!

Happy birthday to you, Jaden!

Happy birthday to you...
